ADHD in School
Having ADD makes school seriously difficult, especially when trying to be successful in four to five different classes. You'll start one assignment and ten minutes later you're on an entirely different paper, for a whole other class. Staying on task is incredibly difficult, and looking over an assignment or essay is borderline impossible; you'll wanna do something else.
It'll always drive me crazy when friends say "I have ADD with this assignment", completely exaggerating their level of focus. They have no idea how stressful it can be at times, and it'll make you feel like a complete idiot whose constantly off topic during class and in their personal relationships.
While it sucks, I can't use it as a crutch for my struggles; I was born with this difficulty and you can't change what you're born with. I have to work twice as hard to do well in school and when given an A on an assignment it's hard not to get a little emotional, because that took every ounce of effort in me to produce that. In life we can either let our shortcomings define us or we use them as inspiration to overcome them; no matter what I will do my best to stay positive
